Darren
is an outdoor enthusiast who has been involved with the outdoors for 20
years. His experience gained from working all over the UK led him to gain
the much credited Mountaineering Instructors Certificate (MIC) in 1996.
As an active Kayaker he is also an Inland level 4 Kayak Coach and a Level
3 Trainee Coach in both the Surf and Sea disciplines. For the Snow sports
activities he is a member of the British Association of Ski Instructors
(BASI), holding the Telemark Instructor award.
He has organised and led many expeditions around the world including Europe,
Norway, Canada, USA and to Mt McKinley in Alaska.
During the winter months he is busy facilitating his Ski School providing
ski/board hire and instruction in all of the snow disciplines, including
cross-country and touring. During the summer months he will be concentrating
his efforts on ensuring Gulabin Lodge is fully prepared for the multi
activity summer season.
To run alongside his outdoor experience he has also gained a Diploma in
management and is well rehearsed in providing stimulating team building
events both large and small.
Tereza is the administrator behind
the scenes ensuring everything runs smoothly. Having ran a successful
business before in Devon she now enjoys working from home; in between
all of the administration there are 3 young children to look after aswell.
She is a keen skier and horse rider but most of all willing to have a
go at any of the outdoor activities. Last summer saw her following Darren
around the mountains in and around Chamonix.
Coll the border collie is always available
for walks, a great guide for the day! He probably has the best 'on the
hill' log book in the glen. Back to Homepage |
